Today we have some sunshine and clouds with scattered snow and hail showers. But the sunshine does want you to grab your sunglasses. And I do have great sunglasses by Persol, but when I saw this Skate Collection by Proof I was stunned by the beautiful details. Just like the other upcycle skateboard designs here at upcycleDZINE [1, 2, 3]. The skateboard sunglasses are constructed from 5-ply maples skateboard decks and are made for performance and durability just like your skateboard. Each pair of skate glasses are crafted by hand and fine attention to detail is put into each pair. To protect the frame from water, wear and tear, etc each pair of skate glasses are prepared and stained with a waterproof seal.

Proof got its start in a garage in Eagle, Idaho in 2010. The founders, 3 brothers, grew Proof to an internationally known brand that is loved the world over. They pride themselves on providing original products that are handcrafted from sustainable materials: “A large portion of each sunglass/eyewear sale goes to a charity in India that give sight seeing cataract surgeries to those in need.
