Coffee tables and upcycling go quite well together. If you’ve visited upcycleDZINE before you may have noticed that there are some fantastic and original coffee tables made out of discarded or old objects and materials.
Bicycle gets second life
And this time one of these discarded objects is a children’s bicycle. I guess that you, just like me, never thought that a small bicycle could be transformed, or better upcycled, into a unique and intriguing-looking coffee table. The use of a white frame, light color wood, and the round transparent tabletop, gives the design has a fresh look.

Endless ideas
The genius behind it is Eyal Regev. He’s an industrial designer who founded Studio Regev, based in Givat Brenner | Israel. This upcycle studio also created an amazing minimalist little desk lamp called PLATE Lamp made out of an upcycled license plate.
Regev is a disciple of the ‘Ready Made’ design art style and practices the restoration and renovation of used objects with a modern vintage twist. The designs are unique, modern, and always carry an aesthetic statement. The studio provides custom-tailored designs and cooperates with both designers and architects.

Less is more
I’ve said it several times before, finding a new unique upcycle design is to me like getting a present. It always amazes me to see which objects or materials are upcycled into an incredible design. And often the design is quite simple, minimalist, which brings me to the expression ‘less is more’.

Israel upcycle design minded
upcycleDZINE wants to be the best resource for finding incredible designers that upcycle objects that normally would have been thrown away. At this moment there are more than 750 designs to be found on this blog.
And among all those designs, there are quite a few upcycle designers who live in Israel. I guess some countries are just more into sustainable design than others.
