This post is one of my shorter ones with respect to text. Not because the featured upcycle design piece isn’t that interesting. No, just because there isn’t much info about the designer and the design. But when I stumbled upon this remarkable lamp on Pinterest I knew I just had to show it on upcycleDZINE.
The blog Once Upon A Time says about this upcycle design: “What do you get when you add a Speaker Stand, an Untunable Piano and and a couple of Bicycle Rims? ROCK N ROLLER of course!” Luckily ‘a picture is worth a thousand words‘, so watching these photos should give you a clear picture of what this fantastic design is all about.
Old piano keys used in unexpected way
The photos show those beautiful old and used piano keys. They are so recognizable and that’s what makes the ROCK N ROLLER so interesting. Who would expect that discarded piano keys could be used this way and thereby getting a second life.
This design shows again what upcycle design is all about, always ‘expect the unexpected’. These three words guide me when searching the web for my blog. If the design is obvious it’s not that interesting. It should be unexpected and hopefully fun.
I think if you like piano music or even better play a piano, than this a must-have lamp for you.
