A clothes hanger is an everyday object that we all take for granted. Nothing special about it. But what happens if upcycle designers get a hold of it? Well, something amazing. See what happens when you grap a few hangers, bike rims, chainrings and zipties. And what do you get? A fantastic looking chandelier collection.
Upcycled hangers embody power of repetition
The chandeliers embody the power of repetition. One hanger isn’t special, but 100 hangers create something stunning.
Canadian design company Organelle, based in Vancouver, created a spectacular chandelier collection called Hangelier Series. Organelle is a design partnership created by Alex Witko and Courtney Hunt that practices at the intersection of art, design, and fabrication.
Organelle:
“We maintain a collaborative process, embracing all methods necessary to produce socially and environmentally responsive outcomes.”
